Marathon Reflections
I just had a flashback to the Manitoba Marathon. One of the things I can't understand is why do people cheer the runners on about 4 miles into the race, by saying "Almost there"?
Don't get me wrong. I'm all for cheering people on. The best form of cheering I've experienced was a group of Taiko drummers at the halfway point. But telling people blatant lies is detrimental at best.
